I’m a photographer based in Palm Desert, California. I first fell in love with photography when I took the beginning photo class at my high school. Photography has been one of my passions ever since.

I received my BA in photography from California State University, Sacramento in 2005. This was a great time. I learned from a couple of fantastic professors: Sharmon Goff and Roger Vail. I worked on the school paper, and met some lifelong friends.

Since then, I worked at a big photo lab for a few years before moving to China to teach English as a Second Language in 2009. I planned to teach English in China for one year, but you know how it is with plans. One year quickly turned into six years. It was a fun six years. I traveled, and lived, in many different areas of China. I also visited a few other countries in Asia. The best thing about this time was meeting my wife.

I moved back to the US in 2015. I’m still teaching English as a Second Language. Summer and winter breaks provide a great opportunity to travel and make photos. Besides making photos of my travels, I love photographing live music, people, and architecture. As this website grows, you will see more examples of this type of photography.
